These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Rance Johnson d/b/a 602North Clarity (“602North Clarity,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), based in Clinton, North Carolina, United States. By creating an account on education.602north.com, joining the North community, completing the Kai™ assessment, or purchasing any of our courses or coaching services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who We Are and What We Offer
602North Clarity is a sole proprietorship owned and operated by Rance Johnson. We offer online courses, AI-readiness assessments (Kai™), coaching, community membership (North), and related content focused on artificial intelligence, personal development, and professional growth.
2. Account and Access
To purchase or access paid content, you must create an account by providing a valid email address, username, and password. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account on your own behalf. Accounts may not be shared, transferred, or resold.
3. Pricing, Payment, and Billing
All prices are displayed in United States dollars (USD) at checkout. Payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc., a third-party payment processor. By purchasing a product or service, you agree to Stripe’s terms and authorize us to charge your payment method for the amount displayed. Charges will appear on your statement as “602North” or a similar descriptor. We do not receive or store your full payment card number.
4. Refund Policy
Our refund terms are described on our Refund Policy page. All refund requests must be submitted within the period specified there.
5. License to Access Content
When you purchase a course or service, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, personal license to access and use the purchased content for your own non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, publicly display, create derivative works from, or resell any course content without our express written permission.
6. Community Membership (North)
Access to the North community is governed by our Community Guidelines, which are incorporated into these Terms by reference. We reserve the right to suspend or remove community members who violate those guidelines.
7. Kai™ Assessment
The Kai™ assessment is provided for informational and self-development purposes only. Results are not professional advice and do not constitute a clinical assessment, diagnosis, or guarantee of any outcome. Responses are stored in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: (a) use the Site for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site or its infrastructure; (c) upload or transmit malicious code; (d) harass or harm other community members; or (e) reverse engineer, scrape, or systematically download Site content.
9. Intellectual Property
All course content, assessments, trademarks (including Kai™), logos, and materials published on the Site are owned by or licensed to 602North Clarity. Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Site will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of viruses. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, 602North Clarity’s total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Site shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to 602North Clarity in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred dollars (USD $100). In no event shall we be liable for indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages.
12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute not resolved informally shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Sampson County, North Carolina, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction. Notwithstanding the foregoing, if you are a consumer located in the EU or UK, you retain the right to bring a claim before the courts of your country of residence.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms on this page with an updated “Last updated” date and notify you by email for material changes. Continued use of the Site after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
