These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Rance Johnson d/b/a 602North Education (“602North Education,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), based in Clinton, North Carolina, United States. By creating an account on education.602north.com, purchasing a course, or otherwise using our services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who We Are and What We Offer
602North Education is a sole proprietorship owned and operated by Rance Johnson. We publish online, self-paced digital courses focused on artificial intelligence, personal development, and faith-informed leadership. Our current catalog includes Build Your Kemosabe, AI-Powered Your Role, Shepherd’s Compass, and other titles announced from time to time on education.602north.com.
2. Account and Access
To purchase or access a course, you must create an account by providing a valid email address and a password. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and purchase a course on your own behalf. Accounts may not be shared, transferred, or resold.
3. Pricing, Payment, and Merchant of Record
All prices are displayed in United States dollars (USD) at checkout and are exclusive of any applicable sales, use, or value-added taxes, which are calculated and remitted by our payment processor on our behalf.
Payment processing, tax collection, and billing-related compliance are handled by Paddle.com Market Limited (“Paddle”), which acts as the merchant of record for all purchases made through education.602north.com. When you purchase a course, your contract of sale is entered into with Paddle, and Paddle’s own terms of use apply to the payment transaction in addition to these Terms. Charges on your statement will typically appear as “PADDLE.NET*602NORTH” or a similar descriptor.
4. License to Access Courses
When you purchase a course, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to view, stream, and download (where a download option is provided) the purchased content for your own personal, non-commercial learning. You may not: (a) share your account login with anyone else, (b) record, re-host, redistribute, resell, or publicly display our course materials, (c) use our materials to train or fine-tune any machine-learning model, or (d) strip, alter, or obscure any copyright or attribution notices.
Unless a specific course page says otherwise, your access to purchased courses is intended to be lifetime access for as long as 602North Education continues to operate the education.602north.com platform.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use education.602north.com to: post or transmit unlawful, abusive, or harassing material; impersonate any person; probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the site; attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account or system; or interfere with the normal operation of the platform. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, with or without notice.
6. Intellectual Property
All course videos, written lessons, downloadable templates, audio recordings, graphics, trademarks, and the 602North name and associated logos are the property of Rance Johnson or our licensors and are protected by United States and international copyright and trademark law. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to our intellectual property beyond the limited access license in Section 4.
7. Refunds
Our refund policy is published at education.602north.com/refund-policy and is incorporated by reference into these Terms.
8. Termination
You may stop using our services at any time and may request account deletion by emailing support@602north.com. We may suspend or terminate your account for material breach of these Terms, extended inactivity, or operational reasons, and will refund pro-rata any unused access where required by our refund policy or applicable law.
9. Disclaimers
Our courses are educational content. We do not provide personalized legal, financial, medical, or therapeutic advice, and nothing you purchase from us should be treated as a substitute for that kind of professional advice. The courses are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event will 602North Education, its owner, employees, or contractors be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of your use of education.602north.com or our courses. Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the services is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
11. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or our services will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Sampson County, North Carolina, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If the changes are material, we will send a notice to the email address associated with your account at least 14 days before the new Terms take effect. Continuing to use our services after the new Terms take effect means you accept them.
