This Privacy Policy explains how Rance Johnson d/b/a 602North Clarity (“602North Clarity,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you visit education.602north.com (the “Site”), create an account, participate in the North community, complete the Kai™ assessment, or purchase our courses or coaching services. 602North Clarity is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly
- Contact form (Web3Forms): name and email address when you submit a contact request.
- Account registration (WordPress / FluentCommunity): name, email address, and username when you create a community account.
- Purchases (Stripe): name, email address, and purchase history. Payment card details are collected and processed directly by Stripe; we never receive or store your full card number.
- Email marketing (FluentCRM): email address when you subscribe to our list or opt in through a form or purchase.
- Kai™ Assessment (Google Apps Script): assessment responses you submit when completing the Kai™ AI-readiness assessment. Responses are stored in Google Sheets on our account.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data: pages visited, links clicked, course progress, quiz results, and session duration.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, and approximate geolocation derived from IP address.
- Cookies and similar technologies: see Section 7 below.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information to:
- Create and maintain your account and community membership;
- Deliver courses, coaching, and community features you have purchased or enrolled in;
- Process payments and send receipts through Stripe;
- Respond to contact form submissions and support requests;
- Send transactional emails (receipts, password resets, course updates) via WP Mail SMTP routed through Google Workspace;
- Send marketing emails about new content, promotions, or services to subscribers (FluentCRM), with opt-out available at any time;
- Administer the Kai™ assessment and provide results;
- Analyze aggregate usage to improve the Site and our content;
- Prevent fraud and abuse; and
- Comply with legal obligations.
3. Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR — EEA / UK Visitors)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Contract — to deliver services you have purchased and administer your account;
- Legitimate interests — to secure the Site, prevent fraud, and analyze aggregate usage;
- Consent — for optional marketing emails and non-essential cookies; and
- Legal obligation — for tax, accounting, and regulatory compliance.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share personal information only with the service providers listed below, and only as necessary to operate our services:

We may also disclose personal information if required by law, court order, or to protect our rights or the safety of our users.
5. Data Retention
We retain account and purchase data for as long as your account is active and for up to seven (7) years thereafter for tax and accounting purposes. Marketing list data is retained until you unsubscribe. Assessment responses are retained for up to three (3) years. Contact form submissions are retained for twelve (12) months. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 8).
6. International Transfers
Our servers are located in the United States. If you access the Site from the EEA, UK, or another jurisdiction with data protection laws, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. For EEA and UK transfers, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, adequacy decisions. By using the Site, you acknowledge this transfer.
7. Cookies
We use the following cookies:
- WordPress session cookies: necessary to keep you logged in during your session.
- Elementor cookies: used by our page builder for layout preferences.
- Google OAuth cookies: set when you log in with your Google account; necessary for authentication.
We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so may affect Site functionality, including the ability to log in.
8. Your Rights
All users
You may access, correct, or delete your account information by logging in to your account or emailing us at privacy@602north.com. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by clicking “Unsubscribe” in any email or contacting us directly.
California residents (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose;
- Delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions;
- Correct inaccurate personal information;
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — we do not sell or share personal information;
- Limit use of sensitive personal information — we do not use sensitive personal information for purposes beyond those disclosed; and
- Non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

EEA and UK residents (GDPR / UK GDPR)
If you are located in the EEA or UK, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port your personal information; to object to processing based on legitimate interests; and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@602north.com. We will respond within 30 days.
9. Children’s Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes will be communicated by email or by a prominent notice on the Site.
